Vanadium places a premium on identifying and engaging experienced and knowledgeable resources who can provide expertise critical to the success of your organization. We understand that engaging in outside resources can be a difficult decision, and we seek to provide highly effective resources who can provide immediate return on investment. Vanadium consultants provide expertise in a range of IT areas. These areas include service performance and cost assessment, sourcing strategy development, outsourcing and cloud computing assessments and procurement, ERP systems administration, business case and budget development, and project management, to a wide variety of organizations. Our resources are respectful, committed to your success, and accountable for their performance.
Project Management
Projects can be naturally complex; with many moving parts, an organization's key to success is having project managers who can bring order while effectively motivating. Many organizations are now able to identify a tangible ROI from investing resources in the Project Management function as a way to control resources, spending, and improve project results. Aligning your project, program, and portfolio management strategies enables predictable and measurable project execution and results, delivering value in all phases.
At Vanadium IT, our public sector skilled resources have years of expertise in the pillars of project management; task organization, risk management, delivering quality, managing integration, controlling change, issue management, among others. Our resources have experience in Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodologies as well as RAD and Six Sigma techniques.
Change Management
Real, sustainable organizational development requires managing change at every level of the organization—executives, management, end-users, and the organization as a whole. Change management involves the development and execution of the organizational process, communication, training, involvement of stakeholders, alignment of activities with the goals of the organization, and preparation of the workforce to appropriately conduct business in light of the change. When effectively carried out, the vision energizes everyone and the work they do. Performed ineffectively, it de-motivates staff members, prolongs and deepens loss of productivity, and sets lowered expectations for future changes and initiatives. How well organizations handle the process of change and transition, and how much we perceive we have control and influence over the change, is the key to managing the fear of change.
While there are known outcomes of the change management effort, the timing and full level of effort required for any given component are not fully known in advance of an assessment of change readiness. Therefore, Vanadium begins with an analysis of the organization and people. Using the results of this analysis, we will develop a customized Change Management Plan that addresses the specific needs of our clients. Vanadium, in a partnership with our clients, will give consideration to the following in developing the plan:
-
Impact of the change on individuals, teams, leaders and organizations
-
New job roles, behaviors, capabilities and skills required
-
Potential sources of resistance from individuals, groups and organizations
-
Enrollment strategies to facilitate individual and organizational transition
-
Communication methods to promote individual and organizational buy-in
Through implementation of the Change Management Plan, realizations will emerge:
-
Increased probability that the project will achieve objectives and targets on schedule
-
Leadership groups that understand their special role in leading the change effort
-
High performance work teams who become agents of change
-
Team members and employees who are focused on and rewarded for achieving desired business results
-
Organization structures and systems that support and reinforce the use of technology and the achievement of desired business results
-
Employees who are fully capable of exploiting the benefits of the re-engineered business processes and technology in the shortest possible time
-
Smooth transition into go-live
Vanadium’s change management approach is fully compatible with the business process improvement and re-engineering efforts. Preparing the organization for change is critical to a successful implementation and involves consistent and accurate communication and strong support before, during, and after actual implementation. The goal of the change management program is not to make the change disappear. Instead, it is designed and organized to help the team cope with and embrace the re-engineered processes and the new system.
